DSLR Cameras

Amazing image quality and outstanding performance are just two of the many benefits photographers, from beginners to professionals, will experience with every interaction with a Canon EOS digital camera.

Canon’s CMOS Sensor captures images with exceptional clarity and tonal range and offers the most pixels in its class. Canon’s DIGIC Image Processor dramatically enhances image quality and speeds up all camera operations for intuitive operation. The sensor and processor work in concert with Canon’s superlative EF and EF-S lenses, forming the ultimate Digital Trinity.

Great images start with great lenses. For many photographers, Canon’s legendary EF lens history is the reason to choose the EOS System. The EF and EF-S series lenses are a unique blend of the world’s most advanced optical, microelectronic and precision manufacturing technologies. EF lenses are perfected in Canon’s laboratories, proven in the field and are at the heart of professional photography. EF-S lenses are designed especially for EOS APS-C sensor cameras, providing lightweight, compact design and high value.

Canon develops and produces its own CMOS sensors. Unlike CCD sensors, CMOS sensors convert and amplify signals before they are transferred to the image processor, enabling them to produce exceptionally clean image data and reduce power consumption. Data transfer speeds are increased by using multi-channel signal paths that dramatically improve the camera’s responsiveness. Canon’s CMOS sensors incorporate a unique noise reduction technology to handle both fixed pattern and noise. A multi-layer low-pass filter is placed in front of the sensor to isolate false colors that the sensor may detect. Then, the DIGIC Image Processor processes the image to eliminate those colors while retaining full detail.

DSLR Lenses

Choose from one of the world's most comprehensive selection of lenses - including telephoto, macro, fisheye, and tilt/shift - to capture amazing stills and stunning video with incredible clarity and brilliant colors.

Ultra-Wide Zoom
Broaden your perspective with one of these lenses. The wide angle allows you to bring more area into focus and provides greater depth of field. The zoom range allows you to make small adjustments to the coverage of your shot for more creative control.

Standard Zoom
This category features lenses with the most popular focal lengths, from wide-angle to telephoto, and a variety of apertures. Having one of these is a must for any EOS camera system.

Telephoto Zoom
Telephoto zoom lenses allow you to capture details normally missed by the eye. Capture the far off action of fast-paced sports or zoom in for an intimate portrait with a blurred background. The unique property of these lenses to compress images allows you to create a variety of impressive images.

These lenses let you capture more by broadening the angle of view and increasing the depth of field bringing more area into focus. By expanding the apparent distance between the foreground and background, they provide a unique perspective. Their exceptional compactness allows for greater mobility.

Standard & Medium Telephoto
For a more natural angle of view and perspective, choose from one of these lenses. These lenses will provide you with the image closest to how your eye perceives the subject and they are excellent for portraits and for giving images natural depth of field.

Telephoto lenses not only let you close-in on a subject, but also allow you to zoom in on a subject that you cannot get close to. The longer focal lengths effectively compress the distance between the subject and camera to capture the details and the feeling of a far-off scene.

Super Telephoto
Nothing quite compares to the amount of dimension a super telephoto lens can bring to a photograph. All the lenses in the category are part of the L-series, incorporating superior lens construction and USM for quiet, high-speed autofocusing.

To bring small things into full-sized view, select from one of the lenses in this category. Macro lenses can uncover detail that would be impossible to detect by the eye and give new perspective to extremely minute subjects such as insects or the petals of a small flower.

These lenses expand photographic possibilities. Tilt movements allow you to obtain a wide depth of field even at the maximum aperture and still keep the entire subject in focus. Shift movements correct the trapezoidal effect seen in pictures taken of tall objects, so as not to distort the subject.
